The signal is subtle
We pass just close enough to touch
No questions, no answers
We know by now to say enough
With only simple words
With only subtle turns
The things we feel alone for one another
There is a secret that we keep
I won't sleep if you won't sleep
Because tonight may be the last chance we'll be given
We are compelled to do what we must do
We are compelled to do what we have been forbidden
So I won't sleep if you won't sleep tonight

bored, bored, BORED I TELL YOU!!! that's basically why i haven't been blogging for the past few days. it's national day holiday... about 5 days worth of it, and i can't believe i didn't go out in the sun to enjoy it. i stayed home completing essays, catching up with studying. the only "fun" thing i did was go for a picnic dinner with my family on Sunday night at Marina Park so that we could catch the fireworks at 8.30 p.m. Well, it was pretty awesome. Fireworks don't happen everyday. In fact, it was pretty magical. Like a small kid playing with sparklers, care-free.
At least Channel 5 managed to perk me up with their debut episode of Singapore Idol. it was a total joke... i mean some of the contestants were utterly just making a laughing stock out of themselves. for the viewers' entertainment pleasure, of course. especially, the last guy who, i don't know, just couldn't manage to make a decent audible sound. the most hilarious part was that he wasn't aware of it, and just carried on "singing" for the judges' in spite of their attempt to frantically stop him!
another perk was, me and my sis going to town together yesterday to get a birthday pressie for a friend and check out HMV for a little while. it's always fun going to town with her - she and i are like always heading for the same stuff, so we don't need to feel like we are dragging an extra luggage around (you know that guilt feeling when you go shopping with someone, and you sense that they're getting bored with just tagging along?). i hate that feeling. being the person who gets bored, and the person getting someone bored. get me?... i think i'm too bored now that i'm practically bull-shitting. well, i managed to get New Found Glory and Story of the Year albums. pretty different taste from my normal R&B, Hip-Hop, Rap genres. i'm trying out new stuff...
i must say Story of the Year is a little too adventurous for me, but i'll try to ease up to them. a whole lot of screaming, (almost) mindless drum bashing and impromptu guitar riffs in their songs. though a few of their songs are pretty okay i guess. as for New Found Glory, it's easier to warm up to their sound, but still requires time to totally appreciate them.
other than that, there's nothing extraordinary in my life so far. just waiting for next Saturday's Hoobastank concert and i plan to go down to Marina on Sunday again to see Japan's fireworks at 8 p.m.
I WANT MY iPOD MINI!!! i can't believe i actually get all restless, and i think about it all day, everyday. damn it. what's wrong with me???
