The signal is subtle
We pass just close enough to touch
No questions, no answers
We know by now to say enough
With only simple words
With only subtle turns
The things we feel alone for one another
There is a secret that we keep
I won't sleep if you won't sleep
Because tonight may be the last chance we'll be given
We are compelled to do what we must do
We are compelled to do what we have been forbidden
So I won't sleep if you won't sleep tonight

the good 'ol foursome
Clockwise: the eldest (Anders), the youngest (Suzanna), the younger of the two brothers (Jonas) and lastly... yea, me. hee.
Courtesy of: cameraman (my baby).
this was at ngee ann city's coffee club. the very 1st (and hopefully not the last) time we all sat down for a hearty meal, after watching 'the holiday'. i'm so glad my baby got along well with my brothers (and vice versa). :) let's do it again soon.
oh, and i hope the birthday was unforgettable, beau.
Muacks! :-*
a quickie
this is a short one because i am so bored at my wits end, here at my screen at 2.06 a.m. i'm supposed to be crashed out on my bed right now. but i'm not.
well, just to update, my baby is TRYING to get a day off on new year's eve. i pray and pray that it works in OUR favour. (most importantly, in MINE)
i don't want to spend new year's in a boring zoned out state, like i've been for the past 19 years. it's time for some real fun.
am i looking forward to 2007? 50-50 i guess. any resolutions? not really. because i expect the unexpected next year, and i have a strong hunch that it's not going to be an easy year ahead.
baby, all i can say is, thank You for everything. all i want to round off the year, is a warm kiss from You. to remember all the good times of 2006 with You.
and a warm hand to clasp, and take with me into 2007.Friday, December 22, 2006
so there!
BOYS: If any girl you know is crying, and you see them, don't just stand there like an ass and say you're sorry... hold them, kiss them, and tell them everything will be ok, even if you have no idea what is wrong with them. Girls go through more drama than you can imagine! Girls just want to be held and know that someone cares about them.
now you know. so don't say i didn't tell you.>.<
2 days to Christmas
and only today will i really go shopping. ah, the itch.
the holidays have been above average, i must say. with two trips (though not very far from this forsaken island) and a long-haul flight from the other side of the world which brought my 2 brothers down here. FINALLY!
pictures will be up when i'm not so swamped with things to do (probably after New Year :-P).
in the mean time, this post is just to let you guys know i'm not dead. (what a laugh) and although the boy is abandoning me during Christmas AND New Year's, i guess i got to look forward to the days ahead. :)
an early Christmas greeting to one and all. and a Happy New Year in advance (in case i don't get around to posting anytime soon).
Cheers to 2007, and let 2006 sleep with our bittersweet memories.Wednesday, December 13, 2006
shaking off the ugly past
what i wrote in the last entry was ugly.
it felt ugly, it sounded ugly. just plain uuugly.
but moving forward, we're fine. :)
with all the bitterness and all the spite, we can only grow. i guess. we know each other too damn well, that it's hard to lie, to shun feelings and to ignore the hurt look on the other person's face (although you may be fuming pissed).
Love does have a weird and almost scary way of working out (or not, for others). we ARE lucky.
and to top it off, Your birthday's this weekend. You'll be surprised, don't worry.Monday, December 11, 2006
funny thing, Love is.
someone once said to me before i left, "i promise i will be a better man".
someone also threatened me when i returned.
if i don't show up tonight, will it be over for Us? will all that talk about going back to the way things were, all mush and lies?
threats about me having to regret decisions for the rest of my life, and having to pay for the consequences are pointless right now.
if the ultimate regret is leaving You, so be it. i'll live with it. because i made that choice.
i saw this coming. but i just never said anything.Sunday, December 10, 2006
back from sun, sand and sea
Club Med Phuket wasn't as great as Club Med ria Bintan, but still, it's unforgettable.
the one thing i love about resorts, especially in indonesia and thailand, is the clear waters, miles of beaches plus piercing blue skies. it's heaven i must say. and every time i go back to those places, i fall in love with it all over again.
i managed to go parasailing again, and for those who have yet to try it out, all i can tell you is that it feels like you're literally in heaven, looking down on earth. the wind in your hair, sea spray hitting your skin so gently and the glistening turquoise water staring back at you.
as with all Club Meds, the G.Os were friendly, though once you haven't been around that sort of company for some time, it takes some getting used to. for me, it took me about 3 days to soak up the atmosphere and the "ra-ra" tradition that is their key 'style'. slowly but surely, i got into the mood of enthusiasm and "party-all-day-long" kind of mentality. from then on, it was good. :)
without boring you guys with petty details, let's just say, all Club Med vacations are filled with more than just clean fun (for me at least). somehow or rather, i always end myself up in some sort of flattering yet awkward kind of situation where getting stalked is a "must-happen". as i have learnt, "what happens in Club Med, stays in Club Med".
all i can say is, it's always a tight slap to the face when reality dawns on you and you are no longer on holiday. thankfully, this time around, the blow is cushioned by the fact that my brothers will be flying down the coming week. so december won't be so dull. and next weekend, we'll be staying at a villa in bintan for a few days, so more tanning for me. :D
i have to admit, i missed my beau a whole lot for the past week. and grappling with what i had to face in Phuket, with what i have at home was a bit of a toughie. not because i was so close to give in to temptation, but because i had no where to run. hide. whatever you want to call it.
i had to face it every day. and the pressure of staying faithful was (no, not suffocating)... weirdly rewarding. not that i mind the feeling of staying loyal. it's just different to finally feel like i have hit home ground, and i know where i want to be.
it's been a good trip. a relaxing one with good company, non-stop binge fests and plenty of sun, sand and sea.
