the end is near

sounds like some corny lyric huh?... "the end is near/ and so i face the final curtain.." the oldies song "My Way" remember? anyway, why am i even telling you... maybe because this is it. no, not really the end.. but the pre-end (is there such a thing?). September hols are next week, and prelims are just when school re-opens... then that's when the end is really nearing. and i can't wait. not that i'm SOOOO prepared for it, i just want it to be done and over with.

i know i told myself that i don't want to wait around for his letter, but i find mysef coming home to check the bar top to see if it came in the mail already. i think for now, that's a weakness of mine. i should really stop doing that. it's creeping me out.

just caught two movies: Catwoman and 13 Going On 30.
i wouldn't say they are like "whoa! fantastic!", but they definitely were very entertaining. entertainment value for both movies (out of 5): 4.
in terms of action, Catwoman definitely did not even surpass Spiderman (1 nor 2). her moves reminded me of Spiderman's though. she looked like a female version of him in fact. i didn't know that cats could climb the sides of walls?? haha... as for storyline, it was okay i guess, nothing worth having a standing ovation for. in total (out of 5): 3 and a half.
13 Going On 30 was hilarious and bittersweet, from start to end. it reflected alot what young girls wish they could be when they're in the twilight years. i say twilight, because they are neither little girls nor women. the only flaw i have to say is that jennifer garner is a little out of place for her character, because we are so used to seeing her as a kick-ass chick secret agent Sydney Bristow on Alias. it's hard to fit her into such a girly role. but she did well enough to pull it off, and you empathise with her character's plight. the ending is sweet.. maybe too sweet for the guys. so coming from a girl, i guess i'm biased - i give it 4. (it gets higher than Catwoman because at least 13 Going On 30 made me laugh throughout).

well, at least i got something to keep me sane. that's a start.
