The signal is subtle
We pass just close enough to touch
No questions, no answers
We know by now to say enough
With only simple words
With only subtle turns
The things we feel alone for one another
There is a secret that we keep
I won't sleep if you won't sleep
Because tonight may be the last chance we'll be given
We are compelled to do what we must do
We are compelled to do what we have been forbidden
So I won't sleep if you won't sleep tonight

satisfied but still a little moody
well, today has been a rather good day overall. i went to a job interview at Henderson Building for some events company T.I.T.A.N.S. Inc. they do weddings, roadshows, concerts, parties, dinners, blah, blah... you get it. well, the guy who interviewed me (Iskandar) was pretty jovial and happy throughout the interview and he went on and on about the company's background, the different departments... he actually listed out all 10 or 11 departments to me! *GASP*
well, then when he mentioned the "part-time" hours, i just died. does ANYONE know what the REAL meaning of part-time is??? their part-time hours are from 8 a.m - 5.30 p.m. 5 1/2 work week. -_- wonder what is full-time? from then on, i didn't bother to ask him how much part-timers are paid or if meals are provided for. at the back of my head i was just "you'll be hearing from me tomorrow that i'm rejecting your offer. ta-ta!" i am supposed to go there on Friday to meet my trainer so he can show me what i'm supposed to do for such a typical event, from 9 a.m till about 5.30 p.m. forget it.
then i went down to Tanglin Shopping Centre, to my mom's friend's shop. she's a philippino lady who sells philippine handicrafts and she's looking for a part-time salesperson. she does bazaars like my mom, but also runs a shop at the shopping centre, and sells her goods wholesale to other shops as well. quite entrepeneurial (is that how you spell it?), i must say. well, i went to have a look-see at the shop, and it looked cosy. human traffic in that place was nearly resembling a ghost town so i thought, "easy place to handle". and boy was i right.
i had a nice good, long talk with her (her name's Juliet by the way) and i took up her offer on the spot. since some of the bazaars she's having are the same places as my mom, i can work double shifts. weee!!! alternating between my mom and her stall will be quite an experience. and what's good is that, meals are free (okay, that's nothing to scream about - but still...) and she calls me whenever she's going overseas to man her shop or when she's having bazaars, i man the stall or the shop (whichever she wants me at). me being on standby means i don't have to go to work everyday. $5/hr. oh well, i'm not really for the money right now. besides, i know my job scope already because it's nearly the same as what i do for my mom's bazaars: maintenance of goods, attend to customers, check stock and re-stock. the only difference is that i will have to learn how to make invoices and stuff like deliveries to her "clients". so it's just stand-by for me, and my first call is on Friday at the Hyatt Hotel, 10 a.m - 3 p.m. piece of cake, because my mom had her bazaar there in December last year. heheh...
other than the good news, i had my first day of menses today. why is today so different from the rest? because i haven't felt this crappy and "crampy" in such a long time. :-P i felt so moody and all stiff in my back... i swear i hate menses like that. sheesh. well, before i bore guys who are reading this, i'm off to sleep. got my driving theory lesson tomorrow morning, then going to change my SIM card. stupid SIM card can't support GPRS... grrr!! good night my dears!!! ^_^
