SIMPLE PLAN! RAWK ON!!! OMG.OMG. haha... last night's concert was awesome!!! well, although i AM a short girl, i managed to tiptoe and jump around ALOT during the whole concert... but i must say, i had better view of the stage than at the Hoobastank Concert at Siloso Beach last year. in fact, i was RIGHT at the barricades itself, but not very centre. so the stoopid speakers were blocking my view of the drummer (CHUCK!!!). oh well, Pierre and David were awesome!! LOVE HIS BASS SKILLS!! wish i could learn to play the bass like him... *SIGH* it was a pity we got stuck with the "children's section". haha, not literally, but for some weird reason, we had plenty of kids where we were standing... with their parents (and even some without parents!) scattered all over the place. there was this group of (i think) 3 girls and a boy, who were from australia, and they came without their folks. the boy was the youngest at 10 years old, and diyana had to "babysit" them one by one as they were standing and leaning on the barricade. poor girl... faizal managed to convince the little boy to sit on his shoulders so he could get a better view, but that didn't last long because he was kind of scared of the height. cute. oh well, other than that, immediately after the concert, i literally went deaf and my throat was so hoarse. but it was WORTH IT!!! oh yea, and i lost my phone. but thank GOD, faizal was sweet enough to call my handphone number and this girl picked it up and said i could collect it after the concert at the ticketing booth. PHEW! i really panicked when i searched all my pockets to find NO HANDPHONE! i was even racking my brain to try and remember the more important telephone numbers because i don't memorise them; i just key them into my cell. which is an illness for many of us i guess... hmm? ;-) i can only think of one way i could've dropped my handphone. and that was when we were queuing up to get into the concert hall and they were letting in batch by batch in order to control the crowd (since it's free standing). then suddenly, security opened up all the doors and a whole rush of people spilled into the alley and caused a chaos at the main entrance of Hall 602. of course, if you're stupid enough to STILL wait in line, you'd probably get lousy standing space. so... naturally, the people snaking behind in the queue broke loose and jumped over the cordoned off area and security had to get rough. but diyana, me and faizal waited about 2 minutes before we joined the frenzied crowd... hahaha. just like the good old Hoobastank concert, where me and fadhillah literally squeezed through the barricades to get to the front area of the stage and i nearly got pulled away by security and dropped one of my sandals. AWESOME EXPERIENCE!!! yeah, so, i didn't zip up my leg pocket, so that must've been when my handphone "jumped" out. SO thankfully, it was picked up by authority and not some cheap, dishonest punk. heheh... anyway, it was kind of a blessing in disguise that i dropped my handphone. because after the concert i had to ask one of the guys in black suits where i could collect my handphone. and guess what? it led the 3 of us BACKSTAGE! WEEEEEEeeeee...!!!!! it felt so "VIP-ish" to see security make way for you to come through the crowd and everyone's looking at you thinking,"hey, how come these NOBODYS get to go backstage???" but of course, we didn't get to see Simple Plan... *SOBS*... only Pug Jelly (who was the opening act for Simple Plan) hanging out at the back, smoking a couple of fags, and chatting with some chicks. but it felt good nonetheless. OVERALL, it was an awesome night! i even got the opportunity to be carried by faizal when Chuck got a few minutes of the spotlight and was playing the guitar, sitting cross-legged on the stage. THANK YOU! to diyana & faizal (if you guys get to read this): thank you thank you THANK YOU (!) for an awesome, unforgettable night guys! faizal, as always... you are the BOMB when it comes to rocking it out at rock concerts! next one, be sure to ask me along ok? and i'll remind you of any upcoming ones too. ^_^ diyana, my first rock concert with you, and i really hope it won't be the last! you were great girl! so sorry that you had to be a "baby-sitter" for part of the time at the concert though. next one will be better ok? faizal, thanks for sourcing out water for us while waiting for the cab and paying for my share of the cab fare, and don't worry i will remember to pay you back for the ticket, PROMISE! SIMPLE PLAN: YOU GUYS RAWK! 'nuff said. |
*little note to The Strays:
faizal was thinking, if we guys can start jamming again, we could work on some material with his band Screamfront (and get some gigs if we're LUCKY). oh ya, and fadhillah, if you're still interested in singing, faizal is more than happy to let you try out for female vocalist for his band. THEY'RE LOOKING FOR ONE! ^_^ cheers girls!
