The signal is subtle
We pass just close enough to touch
No questions, no answers
We know by now to say enough
With only simple words
With only subtle turns
The things we feel alone for one another
There is a secret that we keep
I won't sleep if you won't sleep
Because tonight may be the last chance we'll be given
We are compelled to do what we must do
We are compelled to do what we have been forbidden
So I won't sleep if you won't sleep tonight

ironically
funny enough, the day i have my last deadline for my last assignment, and it finally feels like holidays have officially started... that is the day i feel things have started to go even more downhill.
i thought, the lack of food and sleep, not seeing You, arguing with You constantly, the headaches, the stress... was all bad. but now, i would have all that back if i could trade it in for what 'home' now means to me.
it's so cold here. so clinical and sterile, if i can say so. everyone's so icy towards the other, and i don't know how to react to it. should i be for this change or against it? should i be indifferent or actually try to make things better?
all i know is, it's going to be tough. the only thing that makes me realise that there's still someone i can turn to, is your lingering smell on my skin when i showered. i could still smell You around me, even in the kitchen. then tears formed in my eyes. i can't believe how pathetic i sound. it's so low.
but all i can think of is being away from here. somewhere better, where i don't have to feel unwelcome and uncomforted.
i want to go home.but where is that?
