The signal is subtle
We pass just close enough to touch
No questions, no answers
We know by now to say enough
With only simple words
With only subtle turns
The things we feel alone for one another
There is a secret that we keep
I won't sleep if you won't sleep
Because tonight may be the last chance we'll be given
We are compelled to do what we must do
We are compelled to do what we have been forbidden
So I won't sleep if you won't sleep tonight

lame me.
if you guys out there know me well enough, you pretty much know i can be capable of being extremely lame. so naturally, i find guys who can hold a good conversation and a good sense of humour the most attractive. obviously, i have to change that "appeal" because SOMEBODY can't seem to tolerate my lameness anymore.
and honestly it hurts like shit.
to the point of like, "but that's what i'm all about. that's what makes me love someone even more, that he can laugh with me, not AT me." i'm really confused.
sigh. and being told off for trying to be funny, is so ouch. especially after a whole week of being told off by her already. all i want is to bring some light humour and sarcasm to the conversation.
humour may, by truth or assessment, be the best medicine. but it's also, by my word and experience, the best way to fall in love. all over again and again.
