The signal is subtle
We pass just close enough to touch
No questions, no answers
We know by now to say enough
With only simple words
With only subtle turns
The things we feel alone for one another
There is a secret that we keep
I won't sleep if you won't sleep
Because tonight may be the last chance we'll be given
We are compelled to do what we must do
We are compelled to do what we have been forbidden
So I won't sleep if you won't sleep tonight

frightened to think about it
this morning i woke up at 6 a.m., not for school, but to go and have breakfast with my darling. so he picked me up at 7 a.m. and we sped off to have prata. then we hung out and watched 'crash'.
i knew it won 'best motion picture' at the academy awards, and after watching it, i knew why. in fact, halfway, i already knew why.
the acting wasn't superb or out of this world. but the issues portrayed and put across to us, stroke a chord in every chamber of my heart. especially the scene where the black woman was stuck in her overturned car and the white policeman was trying to save her. only thing was this was the same white policeman who has molested her in front of her very own husband, who didn't do a thing to stop him. only because he WAS a policeman and armed.
i winced at how much pain the woman's character must've been feeling. to grasp the filthy hand of the one who violated your body. and to have no other option but to take his hand, for your life depends on it. i cried. and didn't stop.
i know it's over-the-top for me to break out in buckets over such a minor scene. but i know.
i know. and You... You don't even know half of what it feels. and to hear You say, You probably would've reacted the same way, if You were the woman's husband and she were me. no comment. no comment. no comment.
