The signal is subtle
We pass just close enough to touch
No questions, no answers
We know by now to say enough
With only simple words
With only subtle turns
The things we feel alone for one another
There is a secret that we keep
I won't sleep if you won't sleep
Because tonight may be the last chance we'll be given
We are compelled to do what we must do
We are compelled to do what we have been forbidden
So I won't sleep if you won't sleep tonight

ponder & wonder
this is my 2nd post today, and this is because i'm stuck at home. but because i'm stuck here, i got myself bored and now in a state of nostalgia.
for those of you who are attached, and have had previous relationships before, this may interest you:
how do you feel when you've already moved on with a new love, and one fine day you find out your old flame is with someone new (be it in photographs, word of mouth, witnessing it yourself, etc.)?
does your heart beat faster? do you go speechless? do flashes of memories of a lost love run through your head?
but most importantly, do you ask yourself, "what did i not have to keep him/her interested?"
then do you wonder how in love they really are? how long they'll last?
a whole list of questions can fill your mind when this awkward moment strikes. if the fall-out between you and your ex-flame was mutual, not very sore or well-explained, maybe you'll ask yourself lesser questions. but if it was bitter, one-sided or ambiguous, i feel you.
i think the one thing we all owe to our partner if we decide they are no longer right for us, is respect. respect as human beings and individuals, who have the right to know when and WHY a relationship has failed.
whether the other party buys our explanation, that's a whole different story. but the bottomline is to respect the other party. a relationship with someone has definitely built some trust between two people, so although the other party has betrayed you, just tell them like it is.
i don't know if i should type this out, but i feel like i owe it to myself to get over the shadows of my past.
"to all those i was ever emotionally involved with, i know there are plenty who have never had the guts or the respect to tell me why we had to part. i only hold grudges against those i feel were sheer cowards or asses who came up with the most ridiculous of reasons. to the rest, thank you for being a real person and telling me like it is. i've learnt a lot. and i've moved on even further."
beau, You can be rest assured i'm all Yours. because i've picked up all the pieces of my broken heart and gave it to You to fix. :) i Love You. :-*
