the library
before the main post:
as you can see, i went for a manicure and a pedicure. i did it yesterday and it's the first one i've done in a LOOONG time. damn, did it feel uber good to have therapy (other than shopping, that is!) aren't the colours pretty? ^_^ my manicure is a pink champagne tone, while my manicure is blood red... really dark cherry red, like our blood. just the effect i wanted to achieve. courtesy of STRIP @ Wheelock. :)
well, moving on to my main post, i'm beginning to find the library my sanctuary. i hide among the books, hoping no one will find me, and i can immerse myself in words. in my own little world. perfect. i'm especially taking a special adoration for Jurong East's branch, where they have a Quiet Reading Room. i can be by myself for hours at a time, and i absolutely treasure those hours alone.
of course, nowadays, i'm spending A LOT of time there. alone. (practically everyday!)
i kind of like it. sometimes i love it. other times, i wish someone was there with me.
all in all though, the library's the first place i will run off to, if i just want to be alone.
so you know where to find me. haha!
of course, today there was this bunch of rowdy secondary school kids creating a ruckus just outside the Quiet Room, and it lasted for a good 3 hours or so. annoyyyyING!
