The signal is subtle
We pass just close enough to touch
No questions, no answers
We know by now to say enough
With only simple words
With only subtle turns
The things we feel alone for one another
There is a secret that we keep
I won't sleep if you won't sleep
Because tonight may be the last chance we'll be given
We are compelled to do what we must do
We are compelled to do what we have been forbidden
So I won't sleep if you won't sleep tonight

i don't know why, but my classmate loves the unintentional play of those two words when put together to form "therapist". it's funnily lame.
i learnt quite a few things while MIA-ing from blogging these past few weeks. some about other people, some about myself. one thing i can say about diving into my 20s, is that i've learnt so much about the world around me, that i would've never thought i'd even bother about.
i feel 18, but my perception of things and people have definitely made me more aware of myself and wisened me up not to be so... well, easily put, stupid.
naive, vulnerable, overly giving... i use it sparingly.
our 3rd year is coming up, and it's also a milestone for us, since loads has happened since the last anniversary. screaming and yelling has transformed into cold wars and tension. as well as compromise and understanding. it's all about learning about each other, and i think it's beautiful that all that has happened since 2008 began.
i don't want to relive the shadow that i lived through for the past 20-odd years of my life. we have to grieve for what we have lost. including the opportunities and moments we know we never got.
