The signal is subtle
We pass just close enough to touch
No questions, no answers
We know by now to say enough
With only simple words
With only subtle turns
The things we feel alone for one another
There is a secret that we keep
I won't sleep if you won't sleep
Because tonight may be the last chance we'll be given
We are compelled to do what we must do
We are compelled to do what we have been forbidden
So I won't sleep if you won't sleep tonight

another ridiculous article
again, browsing through the straits times this morning caused me to literally stop and stare at this rather, hidden, article.
mediacorp's being fined $15K for broadcasting a home deco show that encourages a pro-gay "orientation", to say the least. the show, which aired on SUNDAY, 7.30 AM, showed an interior designing team helping a gay couple, with their child, decorate their home.
apparently, this breaches mediacorp's and MDA's terms of agreement. i'm just going... WHAT THE FUCK?!!
if this show is showing anything, it's showing family values! who the fuck cares about what the sex of the couple is, on a sunday, at 7 frigging 30 in the morning?!
sex doesn't determine a "proper" upbringing as a family unit - it's values, beliefs and morals of the two people who raise the child is what matters. sexual orientation has nil to do with all that.
plus, it's a home deco show! stop digressing and fining/suing for irrelevant things! it's not like the gay couple were making out and fucking on-screen, and out popped the baby (which is, of course, impossible)! GOD!
such narrow mindsets really piss me off. >: -(
