The signal is subtle
We pass just close enough to touch
No questions, no answers
We know by now to say enough
With only simple words
With only subtle turns
The things we feel alone for one another
There is a secret that we keep
I won't sleep if you won't sleep
Because tonight may be the last chance we'll be given
We are compelled to do what we must do
We are compelled to do what we have been forbidden
So I won't sleep if you won't sleep tonight

the creature
unbecoming, unlikely, insane and devours. like a prey.
it was sick and tormenting. i still cannot believe it happened to me. and because of it, i fear for all my life.
i wake up some mornings with rancid thoughts lingering from nightmares passed. i shudder at the possibility that the almost innocent mind can be polluted with such ravenous monsters.
no one deserves to live a childhood full of the wicked. and the twisted.
i thought i had learnt to let it go. but it seems the harder i try to push it away, the more intensely it creeps back into, not only my waking life, but my slumber too.
the trauma and tainted past that i have to face everyday, i know, is not worth the tears and screams i resist. but i cannot deny the pain, nor the agony of going through that moment again and again in my head.
it's screwed me up worse than i thought. i just want it to stop. please make it stop. please.
